With our global community scattered across continents, we needed a way to bring everyone together in shared creative exploration. Our solution was weekly prompt challenges hosted on Instagram, where we invited artists worldwide to interpret themes through generative art and code.
Our prompts ranged from technical explorations like "self portrait"—where community members rendered their faces using tools like TouchDesigner, p5.js, Notch, Unreal Engine, and MaxMSP—to deeply thoughtful themes like "how to change the world," which inspired creators to submit theory-based generative works that challenged perspectives and sparked meaningful dialogue.
The response was extraordinary. Over 2000 unique participations flooded in, transforming our Instagram into a vibrant gallery of diverse voices and innovative approaches. These weekly challenges did more than showcase art—they activated our community, uplifted emerging creators, and created a supportive ecosystem where artists could learn from each other's interpretations and techniques. What started as simple prompts became a catalyst for connection, growth, and collaborative learning across our global creative network.
